Program Overview

TAM (Total Arteriosclerosis Management) is a comprehensive, therapeutic lifestyle change program to prevent and/or reverse heart disease. It is the core program of the Heart Health Institute, an independent non-profit organization serving individuals with or at risk for cardiovascular disease.

TAM is different from other heart disease programs. It educates, empowers and motivates individuals to adopt new lifestyle habits in support of their medical recovery from heart disease, or to prevent heart disease in the first place. Participants learn new habits related to exercise, nutrition, and stress management in a supportive, professional environment – and learn to apply them in their own real-life situations. The TAM program enhances an individual's chance of success in preventing or recovering from heart problems by teaching at-risk individuals to create healthier lifestyle habits -- integrating medical science and complementary research.
